Winter Weather in Chestertown
Greetings from a snowy and icy Chestertown! We don’t often get winter storms like this so it was quite a weekend and beginning of the week!! There has been a lot of plowing, shoveling, salting and hacking away at the snow and ice here! Thank you to the wonderful folks that dug us out and to the Kent County workers that got the roads clear so we can continue to welcome guests!
The picture of the Swan is from Sunday before it got icy and here are two pictures from today. Thankfully we didn’t lose power here but we know that others have not been as lucky. The pictures out of Nashville are shocking! Our thoughts are with those still impacted by this storm and we hope conditions for them improve very soon.
Stay warm everyone and plan your visit to Chestertown! Go to The Bookplate after you arrive and choose a book or bring a book or craft project from home and snuggle up in your guest room or one of the cozy rooms downstairs. Venture out for a cocktail and dinner at The Retriever or Watershed Alley! And if it’s Thursday or Friday evening you can climb the steps up to Zelda’s - Chestertown’s fabulous secret speakeasy!
We look forward to seeing you!!
